Presenter:
Lauren Grossbach, MA, LMFT
Lauren currently serves as Vice President and Treasurer on the NJAMFT Board. Lauren has been a part of the NJAMFT board since 2017. As a group practice owner in Middlesex County, NJ, she is passionate about staying up-to-date on the latest regulations, policies, and ethical standards. This is her second year running NJAMFT's Ethics Workshop, which aims to guide NJ MFTs in providing ethical therapeutic services. She looks forward to providing you with the most updated information, as well as having an engaging conversation about the ethical issues that we face today.

Abstract & Workshop Overview:
This workshop discusses the importance of having a code of ethics for our field - a code of conduct that is expected and required of all practicing MFTs. We will also discuss how to  practice ethically in times of change. Participants will have the chance to evaluate their own ethical beliefs and discuss how to take a more ethical approach to care.

Topics covered will include, but are not limited to: providing ethical telehealth services, telesupervision, staying HIPAA compliant in a virtual world (and across state lines), compact vs. licensure portability, and some updated discussions on Medicare.

Cancellation/No Show Policy: Please be aware that refunds and exchanges are not available. However, we do offer the option to apply 50% of the event cost as credit toward a future NJAMFT training. To qualify for this credit, you must inform the NJAMFT Treasurer at njamfttreasurer@gmail.com before the event's commencement if you need to cancel or will not be attending. No credit will be provided after the event has taken place.
