The Pathway to Licensure 2024 workshop has been formulated in response to numerous grievances expressed by students, both current and graduates, who have encountered persistent challenges over the years. These challenges primarily revolve around a lack of comprehensive understanding regarding the process of obtaining their LAMFT (Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist) and the necessary groundwork essential for full licensure.
Students consistently report struggles stemming from limited knowledge of the mechanics involved in achieving their LAMFT and the preparations required for eventual full licensure. This workshop has been specifically crafted to provide guidance and support to students, graduates, and supervisors, aiding them in creating a clear and actionable roadmap towards licensure.
Learning objectives for the workshop include:
Associate License (LAMFT)
LAMFT holders' responsibilities
Licensure requirements
Breakdown of licensure hours
Exam Information including preparation and resources
Information regarding legislation and how it impacts our profession
Presenters: Jaime L. Gilmore, LMFT & Rhoda Ondov, LMFT
